Happy New Year!

Happy  New Year!

I hope everyone had a good New Year’s vacation.  I certainly did.

I went to San Diego, California for a week and Washington, D.C. for a week.

My whole family gathered in San Diego to visit my grandmother, who is 91 years old.  I saw my cousins for the first time in 15 years!  We spent most of the time with my grandmother, but one afternoon we visited the San Diego Wild Animal Park, which is a huge park that has (mostly African) animals living together.  We were able to take a bus tour through the park and see giraffes, rhinos, antelope, and more!  It was very interesting.

We were in San Diego for Christmas, so we waited to open our presents until we arrived back in Washington, D.C. on New Year’s Eve.  We spent about an hour opening presents.

For the next week I relaxed and saw some of my high school and college friends, and then on the last night before I left my father and I went to an NBA game downtown. We had great seats, and the Washington Wizards won against the Minnesota Timberwolves. I was pleased.
