We will have a 2nd party after the goodbye/welcome party on Saturday. We will go to Tiki Bar, which is a cool little tropical themed bar. It is in the 3丁目商店街. If you are interested, we can walk there from the party restaurant. The bar owner is my friend and he can make many kinds of delicious cocktails. 

Hello!

My name is Hal, and I'm very excited to be here at NEO!  I moved to Okayama just last week, and I am still getting to know the town and the people.  However, I am enjoying it very much.  For the last year and a half I have lived in Mihara, in Hiroshima Prefecture, so compared to there Okayama is a really big city!  I am enjoying all of the great places to eat and shop.

When I was in Mihara I joined a lacrosse team, and I am happy that about half of my team is from Okayama, so I can continue to play with the same team.  However, I also joined a badminton club, and I unfortunately cannot continue playing there so I am searching for a new club.  If anyone knows a beginning badminton club, please let me know!

I am almost at the end of my first week and I have really enjoyed it.  The students here are so kind and friendly.  I look forward to more great times here at NEO!

お盆休みも終わり、また授業が再開しました！

キッズも大人のクラスの方々もSummer Homeworkを頑張って持ってきてくれています。

前回の休みはシアトルを訪問したので、今回は国内で夏らしいことしました。

シーカヤックは初めての体験でしたが、思ったよりは簡単に操作することができたました。

皆さんはされたことがありますか？

奈良燈火会も初めていったのですがとても綺麗で、外国の方にも人気なようでいろいろな国の方々を見かけました。

お盆も終わり、またレッスンが始まっています。
School kids still have some weeks left but a lot of people are already back to work.

後任Hal先生も今週から開始となりました。
まだ会われていない生徒さんもいらっしゃると思うので詳細は控えたいと思います。
先生が自分の紹介文を英語で作ってあるので掲示板で見られますが、レッスンでもしっかり話しかけてください。
そんなわけで彼の写真も敢えて載せないようにしています。

そんな中、赤子さとしは11ヶ月となりました。

来月1歳です。Time flies.
歯が増えてなんでもかじっております。

I found this old coin in my wallet last week. It is a 5 yen coin from 1949. Way back then, the 5 yen coin didn't have a hole in it. I don't remember where I got it from, probably as change from a store or a convenience store.

I thought that it might be valuable, so I looked it up on the internet. It is worth about 100 yen, according to one website I looked at.
