Last month, a met an artist at a party. He was a quiet but friendly guy named Hida.  He showed me some of his work, and it was very impressive. He often draws book and video game cover art, card game drawings, and similar work. Click here for some of his other work.

Hida usually draws digitally, using an artist’s tablet and his computer. But he is currently taking an oil painting class to refine his skills. During our conversation, he asked me if I would pose for his class. I was surprised, but I agreed. We exchanged contact information, and a few weeks later, he told me the time and location.

Last Saturday, I went to his class studio, which is near Symphony Hall.  I sat for about two hours total – six 20-minute sessions. Several students sat around me and drew or painted. After the class, this was the finished product:

What do you think? I look a few years younger…but I don’t mind!

Did you feel the cool weather this past weekend? It is hot outside today, but the nights and mornings have been much cooler. I went to a movie last night on my scooter and I had to wear jeans and a jacket because it was a little chilly.

Our student T-san has grown some lovely pumpkins this summer. She brought them to NEO today and we will use them for our Halloween party in October.

私Ayumiのほうが37週に入り正常分娩期になったため、産休と称し、自宅でできる仕事をしたり、皆さんがレッスンへ来られる前にNEOで仕事を簡単にしています。

予定日は10月1週目ですが恐らくそれよりも先になりそうです。4月からかなり身体的にしんどい思いをしています。

検診ではまだあと1週間は大丈夫とのコメントだったので、少しでも早く産気づきたいので、台風の近づいている今日、自宅のフローリングのワックスがけをしました。

ひざをついてかなりの労働。

お兄ちゃんになる準備はできているのでしょうか。

I have been jogging regularly since I returned from my vacation. Last Sunday (9/8), I jogged for 5km. I jogged along the Asahigawa River. It's really nice jogging there.

My goal is to jog about 7km per day, three days per week. Hopefully, I can reach that goal soon.

今月9月は月曜日の祝日が2回あります。

来週が敬老の日です。

タツキの通う保育園では敬老の日のために園児の写真を撮り、祖父母へメッセージと共に郵便でその写真を送ってくれます。

どんな写真が送られるのか親は知らないので、祖父母の場所へ届いたものを見せてもらうようになります。

決してこんな写真ではないと思いますが。。。

9月に入って以来急に涼しくなったこともあり、巷の幼児たちが軒並み体調不良なようです。

こちらも例に漏れず。夏の疲れがでたのでしょうか。
