International Party

On Monday, my Japanese class had a Christmas party instead of our regular lesson. Nick and I take Japanese lessons every Monday at Koki Community Center. The Community Center has a big kitchen that can be used by cooking classes or groups like ours, to make food for a party.

The Americans cooked mashed potatoes and there was a lot of other food too. Gyoza, dessert style yaki balls and some South American food. I ate a lot and took some mashed potatoes and gyoza home after the party. Ayumi ate it all before I had a chance to have some.

One of our NEO students is also a teacher at the Japanese class. Mitsuko-sensei did a lot of work to organize the party and she also made sushi cake, which was delicious. Thank you sensei!
