今日は七夕。雨予報でしたが全く雨が降らない様子です。
NEOでは今年も生徒さんのT子さんが笹を分けて下さったので、キッズクラスで英語が自分で書ける年齢のクラスでは短冊にお願いごとを自分で書いていきました。
思ったよりも反応のいい子、何も書くことがないよ…と悩む子もいましたが、短冊を読んだ大人の方たちは「ふふふ」と笑って喜んで下さいました。
その中でもなかなかかわいらしいのが4年生のHinataくん。溌剌としていて何事も前向き、努力家です。
彼の短冊はI want to be a fire fighter.でした。最後の炎のイラストがかわいらしいのです。
その夜。短冊をみた高校3年生の受験生女子AiちゃんとAiriちゃん。
自分たちも書く！というので書かせたら一人は"I want to go to many countries." 近い将来きっと叶うと思います。
もう1つが"I want to lose weight."
これが小学生の書いた短冊だと思われたらまずいので、名前の横に年齢を入れさせました！
I went shopping today at the mall for the ingredients for guacamole. We will be making it fresh during our Mexican food party this Saturday.
Last Thursday, Dave was on Radio Momo with D.J. Chiaki Kamibeppu. They talked about the rainy season and people's appearances.
Tomorrow, June 28th, Dave will be on Radio MOMO (79.0 FM). He will be on with D.J. Chiaki Kamibeppu in 「Let's Enjoy English!」. The program is about 15 minutes long. Chiaki and Dave will practice some basic English conversation talking about the rainy season and people's appearance.

I’m feeling a little nervous! There’s just a week and a half left until the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test). I’m talking the test this year to measure my Japanese ability and see if it has improved.
There are five levels to the JLPT, similar to the Eiken tests. I’m aiming for N2, the second-highest level. At this level, there are two main sections: Vocabulary/Grammar/Reading, and Listening. There’s no writing section, fortunately!
I took N2 a few years ago and failed. Since then, I think my overall communication ability has improved, but reading is still very tough for me. To prepare, I’ve been studying a textbook, taking Japanese lessons, and taking practice tests. Here’s a sample of the reading section:
